In 2017 Cody and his partner Chelsey co-founded Mighty Painters, driven by their shared passion, mission and vision for transforming the painting industry. With more than 10 years of hands-on painting experience, Cody’s mission is clear: to deliver exceptional customer experiences, beautifully finished projects, and a work environment where employees feel valued and well-compensated.

Beyond his work with Mighty Painters, Cody has a passion for performance, often showcasing his musical talents at open mic nights. He’s also an avid reader, especially enjoying books on business strategy and development. His drive to create value extends beyond painting—Cody envisions a future where he serves as many people as possible through Mighty Painters and other ventures.

With a focus on innovation and a deep commitment to his team and clients, Cody is dedicated to ensuring Mighty Painters remains a leader in the industry for years to come.

Owner

With over 20 years of painting experience, Chelsey Sehn brings a wealth of expertise to Mighty Painters. Not only is she highly skilled in the craft, but her background in selling and mixing paints adds an invaluable layer of product knowledge to the team. Chelsey’s attention to detail and deep understanding of materials make her a key asset to every project.

Outside of her painting career, Chelsey’s greatest passion lies in health and wellness. She enjoys preparing delicious, nutritious meals for her loved ones and is always eager to share advice with anyone looking to enhance their well-being. Her commitment to both her craft and personal growth shines through in everything she does.

In the near future, Chelsey plans to add health food store ownership to her impressive list of accomplishments, combining her love for nutritious living with her entrepreneurial spirit.

Project Manager

We’re excited to welcome Joel Sklar as the new Project Manager for Mighty Painters in Williams Lake! Joel brings with him over 25 years of experience in the painting and construction world, and he’s no stranger to our team— he and founders Chelsey and Cody go way back, having worked together since the early days back in Calgary.

Joel’s the kind of guy who can spot a bad prep job from across the street, and crack a joke while fixing it. He’s equal parts skilled tradesman, job site wrangler, and all-around character—basically, the kind of manager who gets things done and has the crew laughing while he does it.  In his spare time Joel enjoys hanging out in nature with his ridiculously cute pup Stella.

With Joel on the ground in Williams Lake, we’re stoked to keep raising the bar on quality, professionalism, and good vibes.

Painter

Cory has stepped into a senior role at Mighty Painters, where he’s been taking on new challenges and is always eager to learn and improve. He’s been rocking the spray gun and bringing fresh energy to every project.

Known for his strong work ethic and ability to figure things out on site, Cory thrives whether he’s with the crew or left to run solo—he’s just as happy powering through a full day on his own as he is working alongside the team. His steady approach and determination help keep projects moving forward while ensuring clients get results they love.

One of his most memorable projects was the intense four-day job at the Nemiah Valley power generator room, where he and the team camped out and powered through long hours to complete the work—a true test of grit and commitment.

Outside of painting, Cory finds balance in the outdoors. A nature enthusiast at heart, he often spends his free time off-grid and even envisions a future living deep in the woods, embracing the quiet and simplicity of life surrounded by wilderness.

Painter

After nearly five years with Mighty Painters, Kate has become one of our most trusted and seasoned painters. Recently moving to join our Campbell River team, she’s stepped into a senior painter role where her speed, precision, and reliability set the pace on every project. Whether it’s detailed interior work or large-scale exteriors, Kate brings consistency and confidence that clients and teammates alike depend on.

Kate has an artistic eye and a calm, steady approach, which makes her both efficient and exacting—qualities that elevate every job she takes on. Her dedication to growth extends beyond painting too; she’s recently taken a strong interest in the Canadian military, reflecting her discipline, drive, and commitment to challenge herself in new ways.

When she’s not on the job site, Kate enjoys the gym, reading, photography, and dancing—interests that balance her strength and focus with creativity and expression.

Painter

Nadia has quickly risen through the ranks at Mighty Painters to become one of our senior painters. Known for her precision, speed, and fearlessness, she’s become our go-to for everything from flawless trim finishes to full-scale exteriors. Her talent, attention to detail, and willingness to take on technical challenges have made her an essential part of the team.

Beyond her professional skills, Nadia still brings her artistic eye and creative energy to every project, ensuring clients get not just paint on walls, but truly elevated results.

When she’s not leading on site, you’ll find her painting and drawing for fun, baking up something delicious, or outdoors paddle boarding and hiking.

Simply put—Nadia’s a powerhouse on the job and a big reason why Mighty Painters delivers the high standard we’re known for.

After mastering the world of carpentry, Jordan recently made the leap into painting and joined our Campbell River crew. His background in detailed woodwork gives him a serious edge on the job — whether it’s clean lines, prep work, or problem-solving, he’s already proving to be a huge asset.

Jordan brings a calm, focused, and friendly energy to every site, and he's not just here to paint — he’s keen to grow with the company and help build something solid with us on the Island. Ambitious, skilled, and easy to get along with? We’ll take it.

When he’s not on the tools, you’ll find him on the road with his family, camping, exploring, or sneaking in a little carpentry for fun.
